Spiro Maglaras, art advisor and curator, is the founder of Ars Longa Fine Art
— a boutique firm specialising in advising institutional, private, and corporate clients navigating the intricate world of the secondary art market, offering enhanced advisory services on an international scale.
For more than two decades, Spiro has advised private collectors, family offices and distinguished patrons on the acquisition and sale of works of recognised importance. His career has been shaped by long-standing relationships with old-school connoisseurs, prominent public figures and members of royal families, quietly establishing his reputation within the top tier of the global secondary art market.
Having lived and worked across six countries and three continents, Spiro has developed a discreet international network shaped by long-standing relationships within the private collecting world. In the course of these appointments, he served in residence as curator to private collections in Latin America, Moscow, Doha and Zurich.
Most notably, in July 2022 he was appointed by the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece as Executive Advisor, serving as its sole representative in matters concerning works of fine art. In parallel, he held an advisory role associated with the Collection of Modern and Contemporary Art of the Vatican Museums, during the pontificate of His Holiness Pope Francis. His tenure concluded in March 2025.
The firm operates through discreet private settings in London and Paris, offering access by appointment to selected works by Impressionist and Modern masters, alongside Post-War and Contemporary masterpieces.
